My in-laws live too far away in order to have turkey dinner with them and then with my family.  I missed my mommy's cooking so much I asked hubby if we could have our own dinner this week.  He looked at me like I was nuts and said, "What so you can make me eat your mom's brussel sprouts?"  That's when it hit me:  he isn't used to my family's traditions either.  How can this be?  What kind of person doesn't like brussel sprouts with rosemary and olive oil?

But, we are home now; eating our favorite meals like spaghetti and tacos.  It feels good to be back in the groove.  I'll send out several submissions by week's end including my next to last ICL assignment.  I feel like I've learned a great deal about the writing/publishing industry this year.  I hope to God I don't lose my day job! :-)

And don't worry, everyone in my family will have the opportunity to eat my mom's delicious brussel sprouts at Christmas dinner!

Brussel sprouts, bleck. I might eat them dipped in chocolate.
